❢❢ This piece is called CRANE!
This artfully designed functional art mirror is designed using beautiful golden toned Japanese paper. Golden cranes gliding through the air adorn the boarder of the mirror with gold toned wooden holders for keeping the mirror in place. The gloss finish on the washi acts as a contrast to the matte finish on the holders. Hues of warm gold and warm copper are reflected throughout this piece and is perfect for adding that special finishing touch to your entry or your hallway. I find much joy in using a creatively designed mirror that doubles as a piece of art in my home and hope you will too!
❢❢ In Japan, the crane is considered a holy creature and symbolizes good fortune and longevity. Do you know of the Japanese tradition of folding 1000 paper cranes, Senbazuru? Thought to grant the wish of anyone who folds 1000 paper cranes, my friends grandmother was gifted Senbazuru with the wish that she would be well again and recover from a sudden illness. And true to the ancient legend, she did become well again!
